PostSubject: Ziwa Bonde - an African World   Tue Mar 26, 2013 5:37 pm

After 3 months of work I present you my latest world, I hope you like it:

DESCRIPTION
Ziwa Bonde is a wild and remote place in the heart of Africa. This is the perfect destination for the most adventurous! All this and much more, in Ziwa Bonde.

Number of Residential Lots: 28

Routing done: Yes
Spawners: Almost them all

FEATURES
World without roads, only paths

- Includes custom INI files such as the sky and the water color.
- Includes custom wild horses with zebra shape and custom deer with gazelle or okapi shape.
- Includes custom NPCs.

CUSTOM CONTENT
I've used some CC in this world. They are .package files and are NOT included in the world file, you have to download the apart and put them in the Mods>Packages folder.(tutorial) You can download the world without CC, there won't install unwanted objects together with the world, but then the world will lose its playability, some of the CC is essential to play. (Rabbithole Rugs)
To make the installation of the CC easier, download this file that includes all the objects in a single .package file:

DOWNLOAD: CC_ZiwaBonde.package

Used CC

Quote :
-RH rugs by Jynx: http://customsims3.com/forums/thread-53.html (Town Hall, Hopsital, School, Mausoleum, Grocery Store and Military)
-Equestrian Centre door by hexameter: http://customsims3.com/forums/thread-967.html
-2 fences by Luna: http://lunasimslulamai.jimdo.com/set-chirnguito-playero/ (luna_fencecañizo and luna_fencecañizo2)

-Medieval Kitchen by The Merrye Makers: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=465512 (D&M Medieval Sink)

I have also used the following objects from the Store (Safari Set and Sunlit Tides), however they are not necessary to play the world:

PICTURES

FAMILIES
There are two tribes in the world with different lifestyles each other. You can choose to play with one of them (or with both  Laughing ), with each tribe you'll live different and unique experiences Smile

The world includes 17 households and also custom NPCs and wild animals. I have used LittleV and AniFlowersCreations' creations to make the wild animals. Three of the famlias have been made by MarLin114 and simrover. (thanks them very much!) Here's a little recap of what you will find in the world:

REQUIREMENTS

*I have used some recolored posters from Showtime. This EP is not necessary but if you have it better.

DOWNLOAD IN ENGLISH

Unpopulated

DESCARGAR EN ESPAÑOL

Deshabitado

TIPS:
- When you enter to the world for the first time you'll noctice a strange fog. Save the world, go to the Main Menu and enter again. Then the fog will not be there anymore anf there'll be fire instead (fog emitter)
- If your kids in the Mahiri village can't go to their village's school, read the solution here by riverowl71: Here
- The best seasons to play this world are summer and spring. The Festival Lot only works in summer.
- I recommend to play with the cheat fadeobjects off when you visit the jungle area, that way you'll enjoy the landscape better Wink

THANKS TO:
-All the users who have been helping and giving me support in the following forums:Create a World, Capital Sims,TS3 CreatorsConsortium II and Thesims3.com
-Luna, Jynx, Hexameter and The Merrye Makers for the CC.
-LittleV and AniFlowersCreations for the pets.
-MarLin114 and simrover for helping me with the families.

-Eclipse for her tutorials about Populating worldsand Routing
-Simsample and Atavera for the SuperCAW Tutorial
- Zaide_Chris for the Water Planes Tutorial

I hope you like the world and thet you enjoy it a lot. Any question or problem you have you can ask me here Smile

So awesome!

Got things all set up, adjusted the seasons, made a sim and plopped him down in the cheapest 2 bed 1 bath unfurnished home he could afford. (No starter shacks? Sad ) Had to buy a toilet, cause either the CC one is not categorized correctly, or the place didn't have one to start with. But no biggie. Saved, hit the menu, then started it up for good. thumbs up

Met some locals, and then sent my dude out in the world to look for some collectibles he could sell to fund his alchemy.

Mbo Raffi (my dude) found some rocks and a few expenisive butterflies. I made him an albino, since Sub-Saharan peoples have a relatively high prevalence for that sort of thing. I gave him glasses, since visual problems are common with albinism. Need to fix his hair color a bit, made it too grey and not yellowed enough.

Befriended a parrot...

And this world is so amazing. I'm not sure how I'm gonna explore effectively without a horse, so vast! But I can work toward that...

Bravo

I am having so much fun.

It's rather interesting how just having paths and not roads makes the map so darn big. With paths being a fraction the size of streets, it shrinks the size of the villages, and just makes everything so huge. Love it.

I have to thank you as well, this is making me explore all the stuff that came with Supernatural, that I mostly just ignored until now. My dude is an alchemist, and wow, spawners everywhere! Smile

Mbo settled in the Imara Village, but the elixir store is in the other village--so far away!!! He put off traveling there, because he had a little mishap... but that's fine...

As introducing an alien to our social media technology as a giant toad is totally a thing that happens. After learning a cure for himself, and after many, many attempts, finally making and consuming it, a cured Mbo was ready to head out. (And with it spring, his garden was dormant.)

It was evening by the time he reached the falls--so many distractions of things to gather along the way and socializing with other travelers.

More chatting and gathering made it too late and too dark and him too tired to continue to the next camp. So he found a little clearing just off the road and set up a small campsite.

Yummy, roasted fish! Then more chatting and collecting... seeds everywhere. Must get the seeds. Special and rare ones as well! Mbo had originally set out because his funds were so low, and he needed to sell some potions. He stumbled across two chunks of Supernovium, worth crazy amounts, and that made it all okay that he only made it to the next base camp by evening. Mbo loves hotdogs, so any grill he can toss some wieners on is like the best thing ever.

Barely scraping by in Imara, Mbo took advantage of the dressers and bookcases with skill books at the base camp--luxuries he can't afford at home. With new career threads and a greater knowledge of charisma and riding, he settled down for the night in an extremely comfy bed. Will he finally make it to Mahiri Village tomorrow? Only if the seeds and spawns are few...

I am seriously having so much fun. The atmosphere just makes every little thing really feel like an adventure. Everything is so gorgeous and so carefully CASTed. Thank you so much for this world, Nilxis.

I started playing this last night and it's just as good as I hoped it would be. The secluded feeling is really there in this one. I think pretty much everything was done correctly. Love the villages. Thank you for leaving the empty lots section. I am thinking of putting a safari or a third village in there. My selfsim has taken over the Imari hospital and found a local girlfriend and made a basement for leisure time. It's coooooooool. Well done.

9.1/10
Now there are 2 AAA African worlds. As good as the classic Al-Simhara, but a different experience.

Spectacular! Very beautiful. I haven't committed to re-installing CC though this is definitely a reason to consider it.

I am downloading this now. I have got to try a path only world and I've loved the pictures of this world ever since you first started showing pictures.

I have been long absent, I know. I have not been playing SIMS at all lately. But I'm starting up this world to see what happens. Smile I wonder if any of my Moore family members want to move to Africa.
